For a number of reasons the most used frequency for RFID cards is 13.56 MHz in the HF range. Here you can find features like high storage capacity as well as micro-processor functions. This is essential to use the cards for a range of applications like security tools based on cryptographic algorithms. Additionally PAV is busy to develop UHF card solutions. You find this frequency in particular in logistics and the supply chain. More and more transponders working on UHF frequencies are used here. As transponder business is also card business, we do offer printed and unprinted UHF cards in our product range. Tuned for special uses like in industrial applications or even for personal ID, our UHF cards can support the most recent market needs.

The development of UHF cards is pushed by a new joint research project. This year PAV started in cooperation with a business community a research project in the field of RFID. The goal: Until October 2011 we would like to be able to integrate UHF transponders in plastic injection mouldings. In this way logistics in pool systems based on RFID technology should become more secure than pure label solutions. This project is supported by the institute of polymer technology as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for silicon technology. Financial support is granted by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

We would be pleased to give you more information at our booth no. N 024, hall 4. You can find our press release also on the internet under www.pav.de.
