FSC is the short cut for Forest Stewardship Council. It is a non profit organisation (NPO) with global activities. In Germany FSC is also registered with a task group. The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products. Products which carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. Moreover, the chain of custody is part of the strategy to meet this requirement.
The chain of custody tracks FSC certified material through the production process – from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution. With the FSC label we ensure you that our printing products act in accordance with this process. Naturally this is only the fact for products which carrying the FSC label. Many companies and environment organisations like WWF, NABU or Greenpeace supports the FSC.
PEFC is committed to keep the ecological balance of the forests. The whole chain of custody is also part of the process of certification in terms of the sustainability. Only products which are produced in accordance with the rules of PEFC may carry the label of PEFC. You also can do something for our environment. How?
